Virgin Hair Care
1. DEEP CONDITIONING TREATMENT- Please cowash hair PRIOR to installation. This method is fast and effective while achieving maximum hydration benefits and a good smell. Do this before a new installation and re-installation. Please use a high quality salon tested product for the best results.
A) wet the hair thoroughly with warm almost hot water to open the follicles
B) apply a heavy layer of conditioner and massage in
C) remove the rubber bands
D) place hair in a zip lock bag
E) close the bag leaving a 1" section open on one end of the bag
F) microwave for 30 seconds on HIGH power (1100 watt microwave)
G) remove bag (be careful it is HOT so use an oven mitt)
H) rinse hair in cold water and allow to air dry

2. REGULAR CONDITIONING TREATMENT - To maintain hair in good condition while wearing please wash and condition at least once per week. You have waited too long when the hair begins to stick together/mat and tangle at the ends. Shampoo normally and then apply a deep conditioner allowing it to penetrate your hair for 10 minutes (focusing on the ends). Alter Ego Garlic Deep Conditioner ($30), Biolage ($15), Mixed Chicks ($30) are good choices.

3. BRUSHING/COMBING - It is best to use a wide tooth comb, pick or brush with looped wide spaced bristles. When combing the hair start in the bottom 4-6" section working up to the weft. After you have brushed all sections then brush from the weft to tip. Make sure to hold the hair just above the brushing point so that you do not pull your natural hair. Afterwards, use a small amount of leave in conditioner such as Infusium 23 Step 3 Repair and Renew leave in conditioner (diluted 50% with water in a spray bottle). Do this everyday focusing on the ends. Brush/comb hair when dry to prevent stretching and breakage.

4. SLEEPING - When you sleep divide your hair into 2 twists or braids like Pippi Long Stockings - one on each side of your head.

5. SWIMMING - If you swim wash and condition as soon as possible. Chlorine is very damaging and will lead to excessive split ends and dryness. Make sure to apply a leave in conditioner after you have washed and conditioned to restore the moisture and mend any split ends.
